PAMS Alumni and Friends Assist with Social for Potential Students
Each spring, alumni and friends of the College of Physical and Mathematical Sciences sponsor an event for potential undergraduate students, typically held in the Dail Club in Vaughn Towers at Carter-Finley Stadium. The 2009 event attracted more than 150 prospective students and parents, and capped off a campus visitation day. The College has found that such events are an effective way to encourage prospective students to choose NC State.
Guests enjoyed socializing over heavy hors d'oeuvres followed by presentations by Alumni and Friends Advisory Board President Benton Satterfield ('89), Dean Dan Solomon and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs Jo-Ann Cohen. A panel of current students discussed their experiences at NC State, and a video provided an overview of the College.
