The Office of the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs assists PAMS students with changes in academic schedules and curricula and with approvals for participation in the University Scholars Program and interinstitutional courses.
Changes
First Year Course Repeat
Obtain a Course Repeat Form from Registration and Records, the Office of the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. the department or on-line.
Sign and take to Registration and Records, 1000 Harris Hall.
If after the last day to drop a course at the 400 level or below, the form must be approved by the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs.
To change your first major from another college to PAMS, obtain a Curriculum Change Form from the Director of Undergraduate Programs of the department into which you wish to transfer
Review and fill out the form with the Director of Undergraduate Programs.
Take form to the Office of the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs for the accepting dean's signature.
Once you have obtained the accepting dean's signature, take the form to the college from which you are transferring and obtain the releasing dean's signature and pick up your academic folder.
Take the academic folder to your new advisor.
Take the completed form to Registration and Records, 1000 Harris Hall.
Adding a PAMS Second Major
Obtain a Second Major Form from the Director of Undergraduate programs for the department in which you wish to add a second major or the Office of the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs or from Registration and Records, 1000 Harris Hall.
Review and fill out the form with the Director of Undergraduate Programs.
Take the form to the Office of the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs for the associate dean's signature.
Take the completed form to Registration and Records, 1000 Harris Hall.
Approvals
Academic Advisement Report
Schedule an appointment with your advisor or the coordinator for advising. Take the Academic Advisement Report form you received in the mail with you.
Discuss a plan and strategies for academic improvement and have the advisor or coordinator for advising sign the form.
Take the form to the Office of the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs.
Approval to Enroll in a Course at Another Institution
Obtain an Interinstitutional Approval Form from Registration and Records, 1000 Harris Hall.
Complete the form and take it to your faculty advisor for approval.
Take the approved form to the Office of the Associate Dean for Academic affairs for the associate dean's signature.
Return it to Registration and Records 1000 Harris Hall for the Registrar's signature.
Graduation
See your academic advisor during the first week of classes of the semester in which you plan to graduate to obtain the Application for Degree card and instructions for completing it. No student may graduate unless this card has been submitted.
